Zacambu Rainforest Lodge (4 days, 3 nights)

Tour location: Located 75 km from Leticia on the Amazon and Javari rivers, between Peru and Brazil.

Day 1

Sailing on the majestic Amazon River to join the Javari River in a journey of approximately 75km, we arrive at the Zacambu Rainforest Lodge Natural Reserve, located between the jungles of Peru and Brazil, hydration, Lunch and rest to start a tour in motorized canoes to the meeting of the waters and visit the natural nursery of gray and pink dolphins that gather to offer their friendship and demonstrate their skills, surrounded by a splendid landscape of the sunset that provides the opportunity to capture unforgettable images, arrival at the lodge at dusk and rest. After dinner, start of an exciting tour in motorized canoes along lagoons and rivers exploring the night life, the sounds and mysteries of the jungle and the habitat where we find the caimans.

Day 2

Morning to enjoy an authentic breakfast.  Starting the journey with an exploration of the low jungle (by canoe during high water season), identifying flora species such as the rubber tree, renacos that serve as nurseries for insects and reptiles, giant trees, Victoria regia water lilies, and jungle fruits that sustain the fauna. Return to the lodge, followed by lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting piranha fishing experience in the dark water lagoons formed by the decomposition of jungle leaves. After the activity, return to the lodge for dinner. Relax and enjoy a free evening with a delightful regional cocktail while listening to ancestral stories and legends shared by local inhabitants.

Day 3

Breakfast and preparation to start a full day of experiences and adventure immersed in the vastness of the jungle, which gives us the possibility of extensive exploration walks knowing every detail of this huge ecosystem, in the tour we find species of medicinal plants, wild fruits and their flavors, and the chance to observe animals such as reptiles, monkeys and capuchin friars, variety of tarantulas, reaching an improvised place to start preparing our food typically with what nature provides us and a roast piranhas. Return to the lodge at the end of the afternoon, dinner and free night to enjoy the starry sky.

Day 4

We start with an early morning tour to enjoy the awakening of the jungle, making a sighting of the fauna among monkeys and birds of different species, in a detailed observation with binoculars. Return to the lodge after breakfast, exploration trip in typical handmade canoes around the lakes in a quiet observation of the habitat around the lakes. Return to the lodge and lunch. Arrival in Leticia at the end of the afternoon.
